Dallas, December 27 – Got Her Back, a leading charity dedicated to empowering girls in football, is proud to announce the appointment of former NFL star and two-time Pro Bowler Devonta Freeman to its board of directors. Freeman, who spent eight seasons in the NFL, is stepping up his commitment to advancing equity and opportunities for women and girls in football.

Joining Freeman on the Got Her Back board is Erin Griffin, Chief Marketing Officer at Riddell Sports. A long-time advocate for the growth and development of women and girls in football, Griffin has been a steadfast supporter of Got Her Back, bringing her expertise and leadership to the organization’s mission.

Also joining the board is long-time WNFC consultant Andrea Snead, who will now focus on expanding Got Her Back’s charitable initiatives. Snead, a trailblazer in diversity, equity, and inclusion, currently serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the USTA. Her impactful work has driven progress for women and girls in sports and beyond.

Snead will work closely with WNFC athlete and former educator Sarah Clark, who serves as Director for the charity, to further enhance Got Her Back’s reach and strengthen its leadership team.

Got Her Back supports girls and women globally through mentorship, allyship, clinics, scholarships, and grant opportunities. By breaking down barriers and building confidence, the organization creates pathways for girls to thrive in football and beyond.

“We’re honored to welcome such accomplished and dedicated leaders to the Got Her Back board,” said Odessa Jenkins, Founder of Got Her Back. “Devonta and I share a passion for using the game of football to positively transform the lives of girls and women. Erin's leadership at Riddell and her support of our league and charity have been integral to our growth. Andrea Snead’s commitment to inclusion will help us lead the charge in empowering women and girls around the world. With this team, the future of Got Her Back is brighter than ever.”
